This blotter is an adaptation of S. Clay Wilson's skull and crossbones. The skull and crossbones is sometimes thought to represent danger or high strength. As this blotter was widely circulated, some people thought it served as a warning of the contained dose. This print was part of a collection of prints by Mark McCloud recognized as the Dirty Dozen. The printed area of this blotter art measures 7.5 in. by 7.5 in. or 30 squares by 30 squares. This makes a total of 900, 1/4 in. squares.
