Vintage Blotter Art prints are considered by many to be the most collectible sheets of Blotter Art. The term "vintage" sometimes suggests that a particular print design was widely known to have been dipped into LSD. We offer that the term "vintage" applies to blotter art that is considered to have been produced before the Blotter Art collecting craze that has taken place since about 1999. Before this time, many Blotter Art sheets were used illegally by dipping them into LSD. Because the addition of the illegal acid, most of the older prints were not well-archived, and the remaining examples of the original printings sell for large amounts of money.
